The nonprofit organization that started almost by accident has taken on a life of its own. Full-time staff, interns, an army of volunteers and a board of directors now oversee and organize weekly tutoring sessions, Bible study groups, enrichment and life-skills programs, a summer camp, service projects and more. […]
Four Church Hill homes are now part of the CHAT network. The homes, owned by CHAT and its staff, provide tutoring spaces for kids and in some cases, housing for interns. Everything from staff salaries to kids’ field trips is paid for through donations and gifts from individuals, churches and other groups.
CHAT will be hosting a fundraising Christmas in Church Hill on December 2 at the Robinson Theater.
