The above-titled seminar, organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, will be held Saturday April 11 and are devoted to the needs of the individual artist. Topics include photographing artwork, funding opportunities, marketing yourself on the internet, and developing relationships with art galleries and publications.

The workshop schedule, available here, includes:

* How to photograph artwork, by Jeffrey Allison
* Professional practices for the visual artist, by Jeffrey Allison
* Writing an effective artist’s statement, by Laura Parsons

The workshops will be held at Virginia State University’s Harris Hall, Colson Auditorium, Petersburg VA. Individual classes are $15 each or all three for only $40.
