If you’re planning a wedding or know someone who is, the place to be this weekend is Pottery Barn at Short Pump Town Center. The store is hosting a Bridal Expo Bash where local brides can meet and greet with local vendors in an intimate and relaxed setting.

Brides can participate in raffles, enjoy catering from local restaurants, chat with some of the best local wedding experts and meet other brides.

Kate Loan with the Short Pump Pottery Barn says the aim of the event is to connect brides with potential vendors for their wedding needs.

“The Annapolis Pottery Barn put a similar event together which proved to be a great success,” Loan said. “We wanted to fill the gap between the local experts and let couples getting married know what resources they have at their fingertips.”

Loan says the store is expecting at least 300 attendees and just under 100 brides at the event.

“We are hoping to generate business for these vendors and further establish relationships within the local community.”

Another goal of the expo is to promote the store’s popular in-store bridal registry service. Brides who register can receive 10% off items on their list up to 6 months after signing up, according to Loan.

Vendors at the event will include Swarovski, PB Kids, Williams-Sonoma, By Invitation Only, Bridal Consulting by Naomi, Godiva, Cache, Saxon Shoes, Stella and Dot, Maggianno’s Little Italy, Bar Louie, The Mixing Bowl, Jingles Bridal Salon and J.Crew.

Pottery Barn’s Bridal Expo Bash gets underway Sunday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. and runs through 2:00 p.m.
