Police seeking BG in Northside shooting

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help to identify and locate “BG”, a person of interest in a shooting that occurred on Sept. 6, 2010 and known to frequent the Fairfield neighborhood. The photo of “BG” that accompanies this advisory is from surveillance footage at the Market Place store, 101 East Brookland Park Blvd.


Shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, several shots were fired at the intersection of Barton Avenue and Brookland Park Boulevard. One person leaving the Market Place was struck by the gunfire. His injuries were not life threatening.
 
“BG” is known to frequent the Fairfield neighborhood and drives a bluish-gray Dodge Charger with a gold racing stripe.
 
Anyone who can provide Richmond Police with the identity of “BG” and knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Major Crimes Detective Marshall Young at 646-3926 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
