Richmond police need help from the public in their investigation into the final hours of the life of a Chesterfield teen found dead at Huguenot Flatwater Sunday morning.

Detectives hope a picture of Osbin Hernandez-Gonzales, 18, will jog someone’s memory. Police took the unusual step today in releasing that picture.

From NBC12’s Tara Morgan:

Police want to know why Hernandez-Gonzales was at Huguenot Flatwater so far away from home, about 7 to 8 miles from his mother’s house on Falling Creek Avenue in Chesterfield.

A deacon from the family’s church tells me he lived there with his mother. The teen’s father is in Guatemala where his parents are from.

Police are still awaiting autopsy results. They have received some good information from tips in the last 24 hours. But still need more to pinpoint the teen’s whereabouts in his final hours.
