Pearl Raw Bar opens Wednesday night
After several months of renovating, owners of Pearl Raw Bar will open tomorrow.
Pearl Raw Bar will open tomorrow night at 5pm, according to an announcement on their Facebook page. Located at the corner of Main and Strawberry streets, the seafood restaurant features a 20-seat marble bar and will serve crab legs, oysters, mussels, shrimp, clams, and more. Sandwiches and entrees will range $10 – $25.
Pearl takes over the former deLux location. Co-owners, Michelle Williams and Jared Golden — who along with Ted Wallof own six RVA restaurants as the Richmond Restaurant Group — closed deLux last summer, saying the bar had lost its allure after five years.
Following several months of renovation, the owners have closed deLux’s former mezzanine and created an entrance on Main Street for a new upstairs lounge. It’s expected to open in the coming weeks.
Pearl Raw Bar is located at 2229 W. Main Street.
