On Saturday, approximately 1,000 pounds of aluminum was stolen from a local glass company.

Within hours, three men were identified, located and charged with the half-ton theft.

The arrests are a direct result of the partnerships and good relationships Richmond Police have created between recyclers and neighboring investigators.

“These recycling companies and the surrounding jurisdictions have been a great help and are a fine example of the good police work we can do when we all work together,” Major John Keohane said.

Felix R. Turner, 52, and Patrick H. Turner, 55, both of no fixed address, have been charged with grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretense, unlawful entry, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and having a concealed weapon.

Richard L. Britt Jr., 51, of the 3100 block of Cliff Avenue, has been charged with grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretense, unlawful entry, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and probation violation.
