In the State Senate race, Henry Marsh took 69% of the vote this year in defeating Preston Brown (up from 66% in the contested race on 2007).
House of Delegates representatives Jennifer McClellan and Delores McQuinn both ran unopposed.
The incumbent Circuit Court Clerk Bevill Dean claimed roughly 75% of the vote in his victory over Emmett J. Jafari.
