The Southside Virginia Council of the Arts and Just4U Productions is hosting an exciting new concert series entitled Artful Fridays. Tomorrow’s music will highlight the rebirth of Jazz and R&B. The lineup includes saxophonist Rick Elliot, smooth jazz national recording artist Jim Atkins, Comedian Sean Neverson, and R&B sensations Shayne and ResQ Squad featuring Tanya Lazenby-Jackson.
The event will be hosted by KISS 105.7’s Miss Community Clovia Lawrence and Mitch Malone, host of KISS FM’s Sunday Smoothie and The Quiet Storm”. The event is from 7PM to 10PM and tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. You can purchase tickets at The Globe or the Petersburg Regional Art Center. The music lineup for the next five weeks is as follows:
August 14th – Tanya Lazenby-Jackson & the Soul Psychic Babylon Sistas
August 21st – Playtime Unlimited
August 28th – Rob Gray & Friends
September 4th – Saxophonist Rick Elliot & Shayne
September 11th – TBA
