Planning and preparation for the 2014 Museum District Mother’s Day House & Garden Tour is currently underway. These tours provide a rare opportunity for guests to go inside the private houses and gardens of some of Richmond’s most beautiful historic residences, dating to the 19th century.

The tour is not just about beautiful homes. Each year, proceeds are reinvested in our neighborhood to address environmental and safety issues. Additionally, donations are made to local non-profits. To name a few, previous years’ recipients have included Albert Hill Middle School, Byrd Theater Foundation, Fan Free Clinic and the FRIENDS Association for Children.

In order to continue these efforts, the Museum District Association relies on the widely-attended Mother’s Day House & Garden Tour. However, this popular event would not be possible without the support of those who graciously open their doors to this event each year.

Consider becoming part of this annual tradition and helping the Museum District Association continue its mission to advance, advocate, protect and unite the interests of our historic neighborhood.

Those interested in opening their homes for the 2014 House Tour are encouraged to contact Mr. Patrick M. Tanner via e-mail at MDApr@museumdistrict.org or by telephone at (804) 410-1632.
