A Monument Avenue Walking Tour this Sunday from the folks at the Valentine Richmond History Center:

MONUMENT AVENUE The first street in the U.S. to be designated as a National Landmark by the National Park Service, Monument Avenue is one of America’s most beautiful boulevards. Learn about the diverse architectural styles of its grand town houses, famous owners and renowned architects.

Meet at the Lee Monument at Allen Street and Monument Avenue. $10 (Pay your guide on the day of the tour.) Members: $5 // Pay your guide via cash or check at the start of the tour. Sunday Oct 3 (2-4pm)
