I was at the Post Office in Carytown, the 3500 block of Floyd to be precise, and this sweet older female dog which looks to be a yellow lab/dalmation mix, came up to me and was shivering and disoriented. I got her into my car because it was bitter cold outside and took her to the Emergency Vet in Carytown and they scanned her to see if she had a microchip embedded in her skin, but she did not. She did have a red collar, but no name tag. She appeared to be well fed, just a little dirty, but very cold. She was so sweet! I took her home to my house so I could call the SPCA and Richmond Animal Control to find out what I could do for her. My two dogs were not excited about her being there and that caused her to be even more anxious even though I had her gated in my kitchen. My husband took her to the Animal Control on Chamberlaine Avenue, and he said that the person that worked there seemed to have remembered her being adopted out a few years ago. She is such a sweet old lady!

Please contact me if you think she was your dog!
