There will be a meeting concerning the East End Landfill (in Henrico, not the city’s transfer station by Oakwood) on June 7 from 6-10PM at Calvary United Methodist Church (1637 Williamsburg Rd).

“The East End Landfill– TEEL– is using a very toxic substance, coal ash, to cover their mountains of debris to keep rubbage from blowing away, stinking, etc… The black coal ash itself blows away. There is video of it being blown toward our neighborhoods, less than a mile away. We, citizens, have been to court twice now to ban its use. Twice our side won. Now twice they have appealed. It is still there. The Department of Environmental Quality will have a rep. there and Delores McQuinn has committed to being there. Please come if you can.”
