As a result of redistricting after the 2010 Census, most of the CHPN coverage area now resides in the 71st House District represented by Jennifer L. McClellan. There will be a meet&greet with Delegate McClellan on Saturday, October 29 from 10AM-noon at Peter Paul Development Center at 1708 North 22nd Street.

Light refreshments provided. No contributions required, donations accepted.

Delegate McClellan is running unopposed for reelection on November 8.

71st House District of Virginia

Jennifer was elected to the House of Delegates in 2005. She serves on the House Commerce & Labor, Courts of Justice and Education Committees. Jennifer is a member of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, and Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. She also serves on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission (Vice Chair), the Board of Trustees of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Living History and Public Policy Center, the Civil Rights Memorial Commission, and the Virginia Center on Aging Advisory Committee. She served on Governor McDonnell’s Domestic Violence Prevention and Response Advisory Board, Governor Kaine’s Poverty Reduction Task Force, and Governor Kaine’s Commission on Sexual Violence. Since 2008, she has served as a guest columnist for the Richmond Times Dispatch during the General Assembly Session.
