As the First Friday event wound down, art walkers had a hard time traveling down the sidewalk because of the crowd. Police moved in and some of the young people refused to leave, according to two witnesses who spoke with CBS-6. Police horses waded into the crowd, which caused it to scatter. There were minutes of pandemonium that seemed unsafe and unnecessary, the witnesses said.
