An reminder from the Museum District Association this morning:

Don’t forget that the City will be collecting leaves in the Museum District the week of December 6 through December 10.

Leaves should be raked to the property line (not in the street) before December 6. Keep leaf piles less than 2 feet high and away from ditches pipes and culverts. Crews will not be able to pick up if piles include dirt, rocks, metal or branches.

Also remember to look for the No Parking signs so your car is not towed on the day of collection!!

Please remember, you don’t have to use vacuum service or wait for your scheduled collection to get rid of your leaves. Just put your bagged leaves near the curb, preferably in biodegradable lawn and leaf bags. There is more information about collection procedures on the city web site. You can also call the City Leaf Hotline at 804-646-5323.
