The Lakeside Business Association (L. B. A.) announced the launch of their new web site www.lakesideavenue.net this week. The site features a brief history of Lakeside Avenue and its founding by Lewis Ginter, a listing of all of the businesses in the Lakeside area, Lakeside News, Specials and Discounts from Lakeside businesses, and links to Lewis Ginter Botanical garden, the Lakeside Farmers’ Market, and Friends of Bryan Park.

“The new web site is a single destination for everything Lakeside,” says Tony Turner, the webmaster who created the site. Turner who serves on the L. B. A.’s Board of Directors as Association President, works along with other area businesses owners and representatives to improve and promote the mile and a half-long avenue between Joseph Bryan Park and the Botanical Garden. “We identified the need for a Lakeside web site last year and have been working hard to make it a reality,” Turner said. “Our area has needed this new technology for a very long time now.”

Paid members of the Business Association will have links on the site to their own business web sites and information on their address, photos, and hours of operation. In addition visitors can find links to our local library, post office, fire and rescue squad, and schools that serve the lakeside area.
