Richmond Kickers will face the best Colleges in the nation this February and March. Five of their six opponents reached the NCAA National Tournament, including University of Virginia and University of Maryland who reached the Final Four. Unfortunately not all these games are open to the public but three are and two of those will be at City Stadium.
- March 1 12:00 PM – University of Maryland* Ukrop Park $5.00 – (limited to 500 seats)
- March 8 6:00 PM – Virginia Commonwealth University City Stadium $5.00
- March 16 2:00 PM – Intersquad Ukrop Park N/A
- March 19 7:00 PM – College of William & Mary Ukrop Park N/A
- March 22 5:00 PM – University of Virginia City Stadium
The Kickers consistently put out a good team and are nearly always in contention for the title. Last year in the Open Cup they held MLS team DC United to a scoreless draw before falling in penalty kicks. Expect more of the same this year.
