Short Pump is known for the variety of local businesses, restaurants, and local flair. Add Ironfish to the list now – a local restaurant that introduces “Pescado” style food and panache to the West End.

What recently opened as “The White Anchovie” is now known as Ironfish by Pescados, locally owned restaurant on Lauderdale Drive specializing in a variety of delicious culinary creations. They use only the finest quality, ultra-fresh seafood, along with the freshest local produce available. It’s a locally owned restaurant with international appeal boasting attentive, friendly service and catering to the unique tastes of its clientele.

As General Manager, Britton Marable explains, “The most satisfying thing about doing this is the instant gratification of having a customer overwhelmed with the service and product.”

Ironfish offers great value, creative cuisine, and larger portions to satisfy the most fastidious diner. With Happy Hour on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and nightly specials featuring creative dishes and unusual food combinations, it’s the perfect place to dine and socialize with family and friends.

Greg Smiley and Tina Manley, founding partners at the award-winning original Pescados in Midlothian, along with Todd Manly and Pescados’ chefs, have concocted an eclectic menu of appetizers, entrees, specialty drinks, and dishes that are superbly prepared for discerning palates.

Delectable homemade desserts at Ironfish.

And you don’t want to miss their incredible array of homemade desserts. There’s always something new, different and special.

Fried oysters, watermelon shrimp, calamari, grilled wild caught shrimp and arugula with fried goat cheese and pistachio brittle are just a sampling of their appetizers. With the fish of the day, pan-seared crab cakes, pan-caramalized local sea scallops, and crisped skin whole bronzion with ground grits as entrees, there is definitely something for every taste.

Not a seafood lover or have kids who won’t eat seafood? No worries!

Ironfish offers delicious menu options for diners who want something other than seafood, or who suffer from food allergies. Non-seafood lovers will savor chicken n’ dumplings, New York City strip steak, and breaded eggplant with grilled asparagus among other choices. Children will enjoy freshly prepared cheese pizza, mac ‘n cheese, grilled chicken, and mashed potatoes.

Complement any meal with their wide selection of fine wines, beers, and cocktails; and enjoy a leisurely time at the end of the meal with one of their freshly prepared decadent desserts of the day.

Pay Them a Visit

With all of this flavor and goodness, you’d expect prices to be through the roof. But Ironfish has found a way to deliver fresh, flavorful cuisine at a reasonable price for individuals, couples, families and larger gatherings. Pay them a visit and you’re sure to return time and time again.

If you’re a Pescados fan, then you will fall in love with Ironfish. If you’ve never tried Pescados, you now have a great reason and a new location to check them out.  It’s a new experience for the West End with the same flair, distinctiveness, and individuality of Pescados’ original locations.
