The Gay Community Center of Richmond is putting on an art show of tattoos of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender folk.

We’re asking lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals with tattoos to submit photographs of their tattoos along with their story about why they got the tattoo and what it means to them,” said Gregg Johnson, who is coordinating the show. “We hope the stories behind the tattoos will be a unique glimpse into gay life. We’re particularly interested in pictures of tattoos that relate to gay life, gay relationships and gay pride.

LGBT people can send pictures of their tattoos to gallery@gayrichmond.com or upload them to the “inked Pride” event page on the Gay Community Center of Richmond’s Facebook page.

  • The show will open in late September and be displayed in the GCCR Gallery through the end of October.
