Work is nearly complete on a remodeling project at the Short Pump Regal Cinemas. Along with a colorful new paint job, wallpaper and contemporary carpeting throughout the lobby and hallways, the theater has installed more than a dozen new flat panel LCD screens that connect together to cover the entire width of the concession area.
The menu is displayed on the screens, along with video and movie information, and the screens are coordinated with one another to display graphics along the entire span of the wall. The theater opened in 2000.
At nearby Short Pump Town Center, a yet-to-be-named high-end Indian restaurant will soon be opening in the retail space below Hotel Sierra, next to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The company opening the store is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Many of its restaurants are run under the name Azitra, but the name of the Short Pump location has not yet been announced.
Growing chain Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repair will be opening in the next two months near Nordstrom. The company has 150 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Across the mall, a chain specializing in gourmet teas, Teavana, will open soon. The company only sells tea, something typically sold only alongside coffee.
