This weekend, hundreds of Short Pump community members will work to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world. Through a partnership between Gayton Church and Twin Cities-based Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), more than 500 volunteers will prepare 100,000 life-saving meals at an FMSC MobilePack event.
The MobilePack will take place Sunday, September 25 at Gayton Baptist Church on North Gayton Road, across from the Fox Hall development.
Packing sessions, each beginning with a 15-minute overview of FMSC’s work around the world, will take place Sunday, September 25 at 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2:00 p.m.
More than $24,000 was raised to support this effort and pay for the cost of the ingredients that will be produced. Community members can support Feed My Starving Children by making a donation for food production costs.
