In the better-late-than-never category comes this news from the City of Richmond:

Vice President and Councilwoman Ellen F. Robertson, Gateway 6th District, and Chris A. Hilbert, Northside 3rd District will hold a “North of the James” meeting. This meeting is being held in addition to the regularly scheduled monthly meeting held for the Gateway 6th District. This meeting will include an Easter Egg Hunt and Live Hip Hop entertainment that is free and open to the public of any age. Prizes are included. Participants are asked to bring their own Easter baskets. All Richmond Citizens are invited and encouraged to attend. The program will include: Featured Speakers, Organization of the “Friends of Cannon Creek Greenway” (Charles Price, Cannon Creek Greenway Coordinator), Matthew Heights Redevelopment Update (George “Smitty” Smith, Southside Community Development and Housing Corporation), Live Entertainment (Matthew “Fundamental” Smith, Hip Hop Lyricist), Free Easter Egg Hunt/Prizes.

It all takes place tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Overby Sheppard Elementary School, 2300 1st Avenue, Richmond.
