Emily sent in this much appreciated heads up:

I may be the last to know, but just in case – want to report that there are yellow jackets nesting in the sand around the sandbox at Lombardy Park. I was there with my children this afternoon (Sunday) and noticed them coming in and out of nests in a sandy/grassy area just north of the sandbox. Others may be aware – there was nobody else in the park and all of the toys were gathered into one spot in the park.
