Following word of a possible new project for Kendra, Coffee Culture RVA has some good words on Garnette’s on the new institution’s first anniversary:
Garnett’s works, and it works exceptionally well–though I can only speak for the morning vibe thus far. Kendra practically beams with pride when speaking about the little place, and she has every right to do so; the place sparkles with energy even at 7:30 in the morning and only a few early risers coming through for a hot cup of coffee. This is the kind of place that makes you wake up early so you have time to catch the front page and a moment of solace before work. This is the kind of experience that keeps you light on your feet for the rest of the day; holding doors open for strangers and whistling a happy tune. I have found my new Richmond obsession, come see me at 7:00 am, I’ll buy you a cup of coffee.
