So by now we hope you’ve heard that this Saturday is Hands On Day Greater Richmond. All sorts of volunteer projects will be going on around Richmond, including in the Fan.

Volunteer for one of more than 40 service projects and be the change Richmond needs. Last year, 500 volunteers of all ages and skill levels made a difference. This year, we’re looking for 1000 volunteers to take part in this day of community transformation.

Paradise Park will host ‘Park It Here’–a general park clean-up and liriope dig, from 9:30-2:30. Water and coffee will be provided but bring your own gloves, rakes, and shovels.

And while you’re at it, swing by Tabernacle Baptist Church (Grove and Meadow) for their Annual Fall Festival.
