Seventeen students from Godwin High School will perform the final dress rehearsals of “Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, School Edition” in preparation for the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Sponsored by the American High School Theatre Festival, the students will perform in August at the festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, the biggest arts festival in the world.

Proceeds from the two Richmond performances will assist the performers with funding for the trip. Godwin High School students will perform the shows under the direction of theater instructor Mac Damron. They will take place July 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Godwin High School at 2101 Pump Road. Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door or at the school between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on July 26-30.
