In the first three years of the Run-Off Run-Down, the James River Association raised $64,000 as volunteers paddled the entire 340 miles of the James River. Are you going to contribute to the fourth year?

Saturday, July 9th – 4th Annual Run-Off Run-Down
Help us raise awareness of the importance of a healthy James River. On this one special day, the James River Association wants people to get out on the river…all 340 miles of it! Whether you prefer to boat, paddle or float, select a section and take part in the Run-Off Run-Down.

Sign-up to cover one of the defined sections of the river, create a personal home page for fundraising and send emails to friends encouraging them to join your team! Then ask friends and family for pledges to support your run down the river.  If you are unable to participate on July 9th, sponsor someone who is! Find more information and online registration.

From the headwaters of the Cowpasture and Jackson Rivers in Iron Gate to the urban whitewater at the Falls of Richmond and on to the tidal river that feeds the Chesapeake Bay, the James River is Central Virginia’s centerpiece and focal point.
