Paddling after work on the James River is one of the best ways to wrap up a busy weekday.  It is easy to be amazed by the colors brought out by the angle of the sun, which is behind you  that time of day as you head east down river. The trees, rocks, bridges were so distinctive and colorful.

The forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms, but that’s just about every day in July, right? The guide for the trip will likely be Chesterfield County’s Greg Velzy, who is an excellent instructor.

Join us on this evening whitewater kayak paddle down the James River as the full moon rises in front of us! Previous two-day, beginner whitewater kayaking class required.
