Parents can get some piece of mind about the candy their children bring home tonight after trick-or-treating. All Richmond area Patient First medical centers will provide free X-rays of Halloween candy Monday night.

The X-rays will detect any possible foreign materials such as metal, plastic and glass in candy. Patient First warns, though, that parents will still need to be cautious and provide good supervision since contaminants and some foreign materials may not show up on X-rays.

The X-rays are available for free from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Short Pump location is at 3370 Pump Road in front of Martin’s in the Short Pump Crossing shopping center.
