VCU new men’s basketball coach, Shaka Smart, has landed his first recruit, a guard from Portsmouth — Darius Theus, a 6-3, 175, out of Norcom High.
Theus said he will sign a letter of intent today. “The timing was good between me and him,” said Theus, a second-team all-Tidewater selection this season after averaging 17.2 points, 6.2 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals for the Greyhounds.
