At 1:00 AM this morning a male reported that he was assaulted by three to four unknown males on the 1000 block of West Grace Street.

Additionally, thefts from cars continues to be a problem in the Fan and close vicinity. Please be sure to keep valuables out of your car or out of sight and lock your vehicles, especially with the holiday season approaching. Following is a list of all car break-ins that have been reported since the beginning of the month:

11/2/10 7:30 p.m. ? 11:00 a.m.
1200 block of Parkwood Avenue
An unknown person(s) forcibly entered a vehicle and removed the in-dash stereo.

11/6/10 12:00 a.m. ? 7:40 p.m.
2300 block of West Cary Street
An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole a laptop, an iPod, camera and back pack.

11/11/10 10:30 a.m. ? 11:30 p.m.
400 block of South Rowland Street
An unknown person entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet.

11/11/10 12:30 a.m. ? 9:45 a.m.
1700 block of Grove Avenue
An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole an iPod, GPS unit and cash.

11/10/10 12:10 p.m. ? 12:14 p.m.
1500 block of Grove Avenue
Two unknown males broke into the vehicle and stole a GPS unit.

11/16/10 — 11/17/10 12:00 p.m. ? 5:30 p.m.
1100 block of West Cary Street
An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole a GPS unit.

11/17/10 — 11/18/10 2:00 p.m. ? 8:00 a.m.
2600 block of West Grace Street
An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole an iPod left in plain view.

11/18/10 9:30 a.m. ? 12:30 p.m.
1600 block of Parkwood Avenue
An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole a GPS unit.
