As you have heard by now, Nostalgiafest (as it was) will not take place this year. Rather, on Sat., Oct 17 there will be a 1-day Fall Family Festival to be held in the area around the old Farmer’s Market (near Old and N Sycamore intersection). The event will be a family-themed event with many fun activities. View the website at www.fallfestival.artofficelive.com.
NOTE that the streets at Old, N Sycamore, Bank, Bollingbrook will NOT be closed this year for this event and there WILL NOT BE VENDORS ON THE STREETS (no spaces used on sidewalks, no non-Petersburg vendors) at the festival. Business owners have an opportunity to participate and showcase their own businesses by way of a display or drawing of goods or services in the Festival area around the Farmer’s Market. The Old Towne Merchants Group also suggests that your business host its own “event” or “sale” on this same date *INSIDE AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT*, and promote it along with the Fall Family Festival, so we get a lot of participation at the Fest and extra business for your endeavor on that date.
