Chesapeake Bay Program surveyed its staff, asking them about the types of positive activities they do for the Bay when they’re not at work. The following eight activities were the most popular:

1. Recycle
2. Use little or no fertilizer on their lawn
3. Compost
4. Have a Bay license plate
5. Volunteer for restoration projects at least once a year
6. Have a rain garden or a rain barrel
7. Pick up after their pets
8. Carpool to work

I feel like I’m good on all but 4 and 8. Recycling, composting and volunteering are some of my favorite things to do. You?
