A woman and friend were robbed early this morning on the 2100 block of Floyd Avenue:
They were confronted on the sidewalk by a man who grabbed her pocketbook, and when she resisted, he punched her in the head and knocked her to the ground before taking the purse and running southbound on Shields Avenue, Martin said. The woman declined medical treatment and said she was not injured, Martin said.
