Highlighting both nationally recognized names and local talent, RVA Fashion Week is committed to bringing opportunities to anyone who wants to be involved, from local businesses to up-an-coming student designers, photographers to choreographers, stylists to production staff. Organizers even want to showcase local talent with a brand new feature this year, a fashion film contest that asks, “what is fashion to you?”

Our event, “Uncorked,” will be held next Tuesday, April 5, at The Wine Loft in West Broad Village. The two part fashion and jewelry show starts at 7:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Live models will be adorned with designs from Kelly Farlow, Chelsea Nicolas, and more. Enjoy live music by John Reinhold and a selection of fine wines that available for purchase.

Although the event is free, a limited number of VIP tickets are also available for $10, which includes light hors d’oeuvres and wine (click here to purchase online).

STRUT

A runway show that features students from VCU’s Fashion Department.

UNCRATED / RECREATED

A benefit show for the Richmond Animal League featuring RAL animals with models. Fall in love with one of the four-legged models? All animals will be available for adoption after the show.

UNCORKED

Another brand new feature to this year’s fashion week, Downtown Short Pump is co-sponsoring a fashion and jewelry show at The Wine Loft. Models will be walking around throughout the evening adorned with designs from jewelers all over the area.

RUNWAY AT CENTERSTAGE

A model competition featuring clothing from all local boutiques, retailers and designers.

RED CARPET FASHION FILM CONTEST/PREMIERE

Love fashion? What does it mean to you? Enter a one minute video for a chance to be a finalist and have your film screened in front of a live audience. Anyone can enter and attend. Event will take place at the Historic Byrd Theatre.

CATWALK FOR KIDS

A charitable foundation that will feature a fashion show with TIBI designer and founder, Amy Smilovic, a luncheon, live auction and entertainment.

FINALE

This grand celebration will be hosted at Rocketts Landing and will feature performances by The Movement Specialists, “TT” The Artist, The Handsmiths, Manifesto and more. It will also showcase local boutiques featuring the latest trends for the spring season.
