Don’t miss the National Night Out Carnival tonight at the NRC! We have many fun events planned, including:

• great food, including a fish fry
• carnival games & prizes
• a ballet performance (6:30pm)
• a Tae Kwon Do exhibition (7:00pm)
• dog parade & costume contest (see below)
• dance contest
• face painting
• make art out of recycled materials
• Books on Wheels
• live music, including hip hop, jazz and acoustic

Dogs on Parade!
Here’s your chance to show off your adorable pups and all the crazy costumes they may wear. Dress your canine friend in his finest at 7:30 pm for the pooch parade and judging. Compete for prizes in these categories:

• Most adorable mutt
• Most original costume

All entries must:

• register at the NRC 30 minutes before judging
• pay $5 entry fee (all fees raise money to support the NRC)
• stay on a leash
• be well behaved be up to date on all shots & vaccinations

National Night Out is a unique, nationwide event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, support local anti-crime programs and celebrate the strength of community. The NRC is proud to partner with the VMFA, Books on Wheels and the Market Umbrella in this unique event.
