The poster, Patrick Shipley, clearly wants his legal right to carry a gun in the James River Park to be honored. He claims to have had discussions over the years with park manager Ralph White and others at City Hall and was promised that signs would no longer bear the message “no guns” in the park, but was not happy when he saw the aforementioned sign recently. There was some good information shared about gun control and rights to bear arms in parks.

Where do you come out on this?  Do you think people should be allowed to carry guns in city parks, especially the James River Parks?  They are allowed by law.
