County Seeks Steering Committee For Comprehensive Plan Development
Chesterfield County, Virginia-Chesterfield County is undertaking the development of a new countywide comprehensive plan, a process that will help solidify the county’s vision for the future. The county is soliciting applications for a volunteer citizen steering committee to advise county staff and leaders about plan goals, objectives and strategies during an anticipated 18-month plan development process. Steering Committee members should be interested in “big picture” issues that affect Chesterfield County as a whole, such as those relating to land use, transportation, public facilities, housing, economic development, the environment and revitalization. Anyone interested in helping guide the physical future of Chesterfield County and willing to make a commitment to participating on the steering committee is encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Wed., May 20, 2009.
