We were so happy to have so many come out to the community visioning days at the Powhatan Recreation Center this past Saturday. The energy in the room was so wonderful and welcoming, and we were so happy that so many people came out to express their views. We are hosting another day this coming Monday evening for those of you that were unable to make it out on Saturday. It is scheduled for 6pm at the Powhatan Recreation Center. We would love as many people to come out as possible.

As a part of this initiative we are also looking for as many volunteers as possible to act as outreach contacts in vital locations throughout the neighborhood. Throughout the process, please work to hold us accountable, and let us know what we are doing right, and where we are falling short. This is a community initiative that is not possible without the community leading the way on speaking our truth to power. We are the ones we are looking for to make our community a better place, and we need everyone to make this possible. I can’t, but we can, and we will make the changes necessary to make Greater Fulton all that it can be, and I am so excited and grateful to be a part of the process.

Feel free to contact me about any concerns that you may have especially if you are not able to make it to the visioning session. Remember it is at 6pm to 9pm on Monday night the 18th. No one is too young or to old to join, and everyone’s voice needs to be heard. We make change, and only together can we build a community that works for everyone.

You will be hearing more from me in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact me. My phone number is 864-5797 and my email address is jason@nrccafe.org. Let’s get together.

With hope,
