Contrary to popular opinion, City Council decided to leave the real estate tax rate at $1.20 per $100 in assessed value real estate value.

This is the lowest rate (although it has remained unchanged since 2008) since at least 1987, and possibly longer.

Real estate tax bills should stay roughly the same throughout the Northside since property values saw no major increases.
