Iris I. Holliday, new Chairman of CMoR's Board of Trustees

The Children’s Museum of Richmond, whose second location opened in Short Pump last year, today announced the election of Iris E. Holliday, Chair of the museum’s Board of Trustees for a two-year term beginning July 1.  Ms. Holliday previously served as the board’s Chair Elect and Co-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, as well as Manager of Regional State and Local Affairs for Dominion Virginia Power.

“The museum’s Board of Trustees and staff form a dynamic team,” said Holliday. “We exist to support the development of children through safe and innovative play environments.”

Holliday succeeds Brian Pitney, Principal, Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, who served as Chair since July 2009.

Mr. Pitney’s service on the board will continue in the role of Past Chair.  Board members also re-elected Mark Cross, Senior Vice President at MeadWestvaco Corporation, as Treasurer, and Adria Graham Scott as Secretary.  Jennifer McAdoo, Senior Vice President at Bank of America was elected Assistant Secretary.  E. Darrell Jervey III, CEO, Worth Holdings, was also re-elected to the board.

In addition, three new members were elected to the museum’s Board of Trustees. They include Cynthia Harrison, Community Volunteer; Vishwa Link, Partner, McGuireWoods LLP and Greg Robertson, Partner, Hunton & Williams.
