In an effort to raise money and awareness for breast cancer, the Central Virginia chapter of the American Cancer Society has announced a Sing With Chicago promotion at the band’s concert this season at Innsbrook After Hours.

Fans in Richmond, and every other city where the band is performing will be able to bid on a package that includes two premium tickets, backstage passes, and the opportunity to sing the worldwide, classic hit song “If You Leave Me Now” onstage with the band during the concert.

The band will play at Innsbrook Afterhours Snagajob.com Pavilion on May 28. Chicago and the Society are making this experience available in dozens of U.S. cities through the end of the year using an online auction on Mission Fish, the charitable arm of Ebay. All proceeds will directly aid the Society’s fight against breast cancer. Auction ends May 24 and can be accessed here.

While only one fan can win the auction for each concert, all fans at the concert will have an opportunity to help save lives and support the breast cancer fight by making a one-time donation to the American Cancer Society by texting the word Chicago to 20222. Local volunteers will be onsite at the concert to sell raffle tickets for a 2010 GMC Terrain. Tickets are $5 each and the drawing will be in late August.

“We are so grateful to be working with Chicago and thrilled to give Chicago fans across the country such a fun and exciting opportunity to support the American Cancer Society and our work in breast cancer” said Terry Music, chief mission delivery officer, American Cancer Society and herself a breast cancer survivor.

Chicago has generously supported other charitable causes in the past, donating a portion of ticket sales to support finding a cure for a fatal children’s disease and an organization that serves children and adults with special needs.
