Chesterfield County Police Swat Wins Competition

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police SWAT Team won first place in the 9th Annual SWAT Competition hosted by the Harrisonburg Police Department. Sixteen teams representing law enforcement agencies from Virginia, South Carolina and Maryland competed in this year’s event, which was held on June 19 and 20. The competition involved 10 events, which tested teamwork, weapons proficiency and ability to operate under stress, physical endurance, and mental discipline. Members of the Chesterfield County Police SWAT team won first place in six of the 10 events and first place overall.
