Charges Filed in Accident That Killed Henrico Police Officer
Charges have been filed and a driver identified in a crash that killed a Henrico Police officer on July 12th off John Rolfe Parkway. 59-year-old Ann Y. Key, of the 11800 block of Crown Prince Circle, was charged with Reckless Driving for her involvement in the fatal accident that killed Officer Thomas P. Berry, Jr.

Key, of the 11800 block of Crown Prince Circle, was charged with Reckless Driving for her involvement in the fatal accident that killed Officer Thomas P. Berry, Jr.
Investigators determined Key’s SUV struck Berry’s motorcycle when exiting the John Rolfe Commons shopping center in the 2200 block of John Rolfe Parkway, near Ridgefield Parkway.
The motorcycle operated by Berry, an 8-year Henrico Police veteran, struck the side of the SUV. Berry was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the SUV was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
