Bystander Linda Martin heard gunshots around 5pm last night and (bravely?) ran outside to see if anyone had been hurt. She found a male in a car with a gun shot wound — to which she applied a t-shirt to slow the bleeding.

Martin said she was glad to help the victim. “I hope somebody would do that for me,” she said. “I hope someone would show me some love.”

The shooting occurred on the 2600 block of 3rd Avenue.
