My bike was stolen this morning at about 8:45am from my back yard on the 3200 block of Hanover Ave. (between Cleveland and Tilden). It is a silver Trek 700, with a step-through frame (women’s model). On the frame is a cheap water bottle holder that has a black rubber strap; there is a broken odometer attached to the left handlebar; there is a headlight attached to the center of the handlebars that is about 1-inch wide and 3-inches long.
I do not have a car; this bike was my only mode of transportation. I filed a police report this morning with the Richmond Police Dept.
My neighbor witnessed the theft and tried to chase the thief. My neighbor gave this description: African-American male of average height, thin, mid-40s, black/grey stubble on this face; wearing a form-fitting black coat, black beanie and black gloves.
Reward offered!
Note: The picture below shows my bike model, but my bike is silver.
