Local running, cycling and triathlon training store 3Sports will be relocating their store next week. The current store at 4021 Lauderdale Drive in the Shoppes at Westgate will close when the retailer opens at 2231 Old Brick Road in West Broad Village. The new location is adjacent to the soon-to-open Jon Ric International Salon and Day Spa. A moving sale is now in progress.

The Short Pump Blockbuster, located in the Short Pump Crossing shopping center in front of Martin’s, will reportedly be closing its doors. All store inventory will be up for sale as of 11:00 a.m. Friday.

The video chain has closed hundreds of locations nationwide, including several other Richmond area stores. It closed stores in the Brook Run Shopping Center in Henrico and in the Village Shopping Center at Three Chopt Road and Patterson Avenue last year, according to Richmond BizSense. The store at Hull and Genito in southside closed last year as well.
