The biggest and most popular food festival in the Far West End is back for its silver anniversary. Saint Anthony Maronite Church is host to the 25th annual Lebanese Food Festival this Friday through Sunday at 4611 Sadler Road. Along with traditional foods, there will also be dancing and vendors throughout the weekend.
Among the most popular foods are cheese and spinich pies, roasted lamb platters, and shish kabobs. Traditional Lebanese pastries and sweets are also sold, as well as cookbooks at each booth. Beer and wine are also available for purchase.
The festival menu is available for download. Traditional music and dancing will entertain festival goers all three days on the stage next to the food tent. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, as well as boxed lunches. Orders can also be faxed to 273-9914 using a form that can be downloaded, or called in at 346-1161.
The festival is held rain or shine, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. A moderate amount of on-site parking is available. For more information, call 346-1161 or e-mail Festival@StAnthonyMaroniteChurch.org.
