The VMFA as part of the Hollywood Costume exhibit is the process of showing 60 Films in 60 Days. We’re down to the last 25 days. As I looked at the schedule I realized that I’m going to miss Young Frankstein which is awesome.
In order to prevent others and mainly myself from missing any more great flicks I’ve decided to select 5 “must sees”. The criteria is strictly my opinion which is based on years of sacrificing exercise to the Video and Movie Gods. All the movies are only $5.
- Thu, Jan 16, 1:30 pm – Ben-Hur (1959) – A chance to see this film on something bigger than a television shouldn’t be missed.
- Wed, Jan 22, 1:30 pm – Fight Club (1999) – Surprisingly re-watchable.
- Fri, Jan 24, 6:30 pm – Vertigo (1958) – Worth it for the trippy vertigo scenes alone and come on it’s Alfred Hitchcock.
- Tue, Jan 28, 1:30 pm – Raging Bull (1980) – One of the few I haven’t seen but my list seemed incomplete without this title.
- Fri, Jan 31 6:30 pm – Taxi Driver (1976) – All that needs to be said is, “You talkin to me?”
